Excellence in Trade for Over 170 Years

Heritage
Six Generations of Dedication.
The Westfeldt story is one of a family dedicated to the commodities trade for over 170 years. It began with the emigration of Vice-Consul Gustavus Adolphus George Westfeldt from Sweden to Mobile, Alabama in 1835. In 1851, Westfeldt Brothers Inc. was founded as one of the nation’s first green coffee importers, relocating to New Orleans in 1853. By 1880, we were recognised as a principal importer in the United States.
This commitment to community and quality continued into the 1920s with Martha Westfeldt’s Green Shutter tearoom in New Orleans. Serving as a refuge for debate and disagreement amongst the city’s most creative minds, it represents our enduring search for the new and innovative.
Today, Westfeldt Companies bridges the best of the old with a search for the new. Our business continues to be defined by sound conservative practices, a total commitment to customer satisfaction, and a deep-rooted passion for the beverage industry.
